A Fire burns Bright:
With all the darkness in the night,
Deep in my soul there burns a fire very bright.
Raging desire for the man I admire.
The silence is so soothing,
Yet with everything so still, and nothing moving,
There’s an emptiness in the room.
A bit shadowy, a touch of gloom.
In the darkness, of the night,
A candle burns bright.
The glow over your empty chair,
I can close my eyes and imagine you there.
Your broad chest, your dark hair.
A comforting thought,
As a warmth over comes my heart.
Replaying sweet memories of another time in my mind,
Times not forgotten, but yet behind.
Hearing your words spoken at one time or another.
Aching to hear another, imagining your touch,
Wanting no other.
Consumed with thoughts of you as I always do.
Waiting impatiently for your embrace,
Dying to see your smiling face.
